28th December is our anniversary date 3 years to the day that Kal’s Kats started and just over two years ago for Kalamazoo and blimey what a rollercoaster journey it has been. I have played in and led a few bands over the last 25 years, but not until I started my own journey of running my own bands did i realise the potential and huge fun and friendships we would develop. Kats in London
Blimey, what a fantastic gig for Kal's Kats at The Royston Ballroom, London. I met up with Pat Da Kat last year and after a chat we agreed that Kal's Kats would come down and run his christmas dance for him for his Hollywood Boogie event. Of course it is a bit of a trek to say the least heading down from Derbyshire to Croydon. We got to the ballroom around 5pm and started to set up our band gear and after our sound check, went up stairs to our green room for a jolly good cup


Kats go Boogaloo
a long trek from Derbyshire all the way down to Torquay - we hired a 17 seater minibus and started the long trek down around 11am and arrived there at 3pm all in good time for our stage set up and sound check at 4.30pm, then a little bit of a chill before dinner at 6.30pm and then down to the Victoria Ballroom at 8pm to watch an excellent rock n roll band called rocking the house who played until 10pm and then it was our turn from 10-30 - midnight and we had them dancing like


Resorts World Birmingham goes to Swing
Just over a week ago now we were asked to bring a little swing to the scene at Resorts World in Birmingham (This was arranged by a very good friend of the band - Carrie-Anne Lawson) . It was a surprise flashmob set up with a particular emphasis on World Shopping week where customers were chosen at random to come up and register in front of a huge gift wrapped parcel and press the 'red Buzzer' and who ever wins gets a lovely prize and of course every one in the shopping centre


Great Gatsby on parade
a superb night of fun and frolics at Catterick Garrison with Kal's Kats (Vintage swing band UK) playing for the REME unit at their Great Gatsby officers mess ball. The decor in the room was superb and what a delight for us to play in such a lovely atmosphere.
