Kedleston Country House Gatsby Party

what a winner - brilliant night at Kedleston Country House Hotel with Kal's Kats playing a vast selection of our 20's and 30's style numbers. This was a completely new audience to us so we had no idea what we would encounter but fear not, it was a storming night. The Kedleston had advertised all around the local region for this 1920's summer ball - dinner dance. The place was full to the rafters with everyone looking resplendent inter flapper dresses and gangster suits. They all sat down to a lovely 3 course meal and prosecco and the feedback I received was that the meal was superb which obviously gets everyone off to a good start. Even the Band was fed a lovely burger and massive chips, so all in all, everyone was starting off the night with happy full bellies.

Then it was the turn of Kal's Kats and Red&Ginger to lead off the Charleston dancing to some grand music. The guests were brilliant as you would expect and boom, off they went learning quickly and getting stuck right in. I was strutting my stuff in my new red and white spat shoes which drew a few eyes.

We played through to midnight and need off the set with a run of rock n roll numbers which had them going mad.

All in all, a really lovely night and great to know we'll be booked back there again soon.
